Using the 4 towhead: Currently, you can use less than 4 tapes at a time.

1. In order to do this, again go to the part configuration window. This time go to the “Robots” tab
2. Double click on the desired robot. In your case, there is probably only one choice.
3. Go to the “Values” tab. The parameter you are looking for is “Tows per Band”. This can be set to a value from 1 to the number of tow position on the head. If you put in a number larger than the number of tow positions for the head, you will get an error message when you go to build the part.
   Note, that at the current time, the software requires that the tapes that are active always starts at 1 and goes up from there. So if you set the “Tows per Band” to 2, you will need to place material in tow positions 1 and 2 (you currently do not have the choice to use, for example, tow positions 2 and 3).
